I am searching for early Bryants in Virginia. My ancestor, William Bryant, Sr. was born about 1757 in Virginia. He moved on to Georgia by 1784 when he married Mary Ann "Polly" Barnett, daughter of Zadock and Polly Barnett.
They had at least eight children, Austin (Ostin), Elizabeth, Elijah, John, George, Sarah, James Bluford, and William,Jr.
He enlisted in the Revolutionary War at the age of 20 in 1777 in Amherst Co, Va. in the 14th. Virginia Regiment. He was given a land grant and came to Georgia on his discharge.

Any more information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Edee
