I am also researching the Brinkleys. Are you looking for the Alex that was hung in Conway County Arkansas in 1898? My GGrandmother was Josphine Meco Brinkley daughter of William Brinkley & Jennie Reisner. Everywhere I turn, I run into a Bumpass Brinkley. I have additional information on Alex if you need it.
