Yes. Since you (and other visitors) will only see the Subject line, it is very important to be specific here. Please use one of the following samples as a guide for your Subject so it will be easy to scan down the list and select messages to read:
I think you get the idea. The SURNAME should be the most important element and should be quite prominent, so use CAPS, and put everything else in lowercase (except the State). If we all follow these rules, I'm sure there will be no problem finding relevant posts.
No. You cannot use HTML tags in any field except body of the message. I had the option of disallowing any HTML in the Message part of your posting. If I did that and you attempt to paste in columnar data it will look very strange in the proportional font. Since I expect many of you will be including that type of text, I opted to allow HTML so you can use the <PRE codes for posting columnar data in a fixed font for more accurate display (see below for instructions). Please don't abuse the privilege by including graphics, or using a lot of bold, italic, or other fancy text formatting codes. Because HTML is allowed, anything between <> will be interpreted as code instructions, so you will have to use smilies instead of <G>
To get columnar text, you should compose that part in Notepad (or another text editor) then paste it into the message window. Surround the list with the "preformat" codes, as in this example:<PRE>
