Larkin Temples was born 1809 NC he married Susan Clark she was half Cherokee most of their children were born in NC His father was Martin Temples his Grandfather was George Temples they were force marched on the Trail of Tears and died on the way ,Larkin went to Pickens Co Ga. where he lived as a white man.They were in the 1860 Federal Census Pickens Cc Ga Two of his sons died in the Civil War one was Patrick Temples .Sarah Temples Larkins daughter married my GG Grandfather William Henry Smith in Pickens Co GA he was killed in the Civil War Sarah had a sister Amanda Wayne Temples married James Stanfield after the war these sisters went to Roane Co TN I would love to hear from any descendants of Larkin and Susan Temples Thanks
