At home 1860, 1870, 1880. It appears that his full name was William B. Creekmore, and it may be that he was given the full name of his grandfather. [Thornton papers, p. 62]. His age was listed consistently on every census, indicating he would have been born in 1855. However, his birth record does not agree. The record may have been misread or reported after the fact; but we will use the official record until other proof is provided.
