Went via Arkansas to Texas. [Thornton papers page 39] Whitley Vitals lists an additional child of this marriage but he can't belong here since he's listed as Joseph, d. 28 Feb 1855 at the age of 62! He would have been born before his father. Therefore, there must have been an earlier James/Sarepta marriage (which I doubt), his death date was transcribed in error, or his parents were transcribed in error. Needs more research.
